before we start, you may be wondering,
"why don't more people invest in broadway?"
the workshop production
PUP! will have a workshop run that will last somewhere around 6 to 10 weeks. In a workshop, the musical is being developed in every way. The book, lyrics, and music may be changed, rewritten, cut and replaced. Dances are choreographed, scenes staged, and music, lines, and lyrics learned. As the show becomes refined, it will be performed for the shows investors or potential investors.
An Off-Broadway production of PUP! is quite different than a Broadway production because it is much less expensive. Everyone is being paid in an Off-Broadway show. Salaries, production budgets, royalties, benefits, and other costs are involved (a full production). Off-Broadway theaters seat between 100 and 499 people and ticket prices for these shows are less expansive than those for Broadway venues, which have 500 or more seats.
A regional theater, or resident theater, in the United States is a professional or semi-professional theater company that produces its own seasons. The term regional theater most often refers to a professional theater outside New York City. A regional theater may be a non-profit, commercial, union, or non-union house. PUP! will be performed as a full production for a 2 to 5 month run at regional theater.
major city production
PUP! will be produced at a first-class, Broadway-sized venue in another region of the U.S. such as Chicago, Washington, D.C., or Philadelphia or in another country and then transferred to Broadway. This type of production allows for the development of a show outside of New York, and then for the refinement of it after getting reactions from audiences and reviewers.
PUP! has made it to New York! Getting the show to opening night on Broadway will be a long process. When a production finally opens on Broadway it will be as good as it can be. The fact is there’s been a lot of time, effort, and money spent on the show and that it could be a big hit, all of our hard work will pay off in so many ways!
national & international tour
Broadway is not the end of the journey. It is just the beginning! Taking the Broadway show on the road is not only a great way to bring people who might not be able to get to New York to the PUP! fold, but it is another revenue stream. As an early investor, you are entitled to profits made on these tours. Book of Mormon had SIX different tours going on at the same time. That's some major dough!
broadway in the metaverse
PUP! will be performed live in the metaverse with the characters acting, singing, and dancing the show in incredible and impossible environments to make in the real world. In this way, people from all over the world can take part in the fun!
film & television
From Hamilton to West Side Story successful Broadway shows are almost always brought to the silver screen in their lifetimes. We see this happening for PUP! and want you to come along for the ride!
other broadway show opportunities
The PUP! A Chew Story writing team is always cooking up something new. We have several shows in development and want to leave the door open for PUP! investors to get in on the ground floor.
